ENCON2013: Break On Through to the Other Side
I thought since Christy did such a great followup post with a musically-inspired title (and really, who doesn’t love the Romantics?), I thought I’d follow in her well-written footsteps. Break on through to the other side strikes two chords: One for me professionally … and one for our many network members as we together try to solve the puzzle of moving our training and education efforts across the divide and up to a new level.
It is a small group of people that can experience an Enterprise Network conference from both sides of the fence … as a network member … and then a boojer. And if I was thoroughly amazed from the network side … it is nothing compared to having a front row seat to the stellar group of people that pull this event together each year. It was certainly a pinnacle of my journey out west … and the start of my commitment to providing a dose of “awesome” (nod to Wil Reynolds) to training and agent adoption network-wide.
As we take the Journey into Mobile, we also step off the platform into a new realm that will help create a bridge to the other side of the divide I spoke about throughout my presentation. We’ve charted the course, we’ve outlined our goals and now the real work begins.
While I am confident in the ability of this new department to create excellent tools and resources to move The Enterprise Network forward, the biggest challenge is effectively communicating the many changes that will occur and the many courses that our companies, our agents and our staff can take. As we move forward, I encourage our members to share their ideas of how we can use social media, company internal communications and personal outreach to remain connected to our users … and to you.
I will be reaching out over the next few months to update all members on our progress, inform you of the resources at your disposal and to get your continuous feedback on our efforts and what’s really important to your success.
