There's a Map for That. The Enterprise Network Launches Latest in Mapping Technology!

A couple of weeks ago, we announced that Jack White Real Estate was the first to launch a fully-responsive site design on our platform. This afternoon, we are planning on releasing a new Map Search platform. The new map boasts a fully-responsive layout, ensuring a positive experience regardless of choice of device.

A few improvements on our old mapping platform include:

More Ways to Search

The map makes it easier than ever before to find homes that meet your unique needs. Not only can you search using traditional methods like Quick Search and Polygon Search tools, but now brokerages can also choose to make any filter from their advanced search available on their map, allowing for endless permutations.

For mobile users, we’ve added a Search Here button that is more user-friendly for smaller screens. Perfect for searches on-the-go, users can scroll to a desired area on the map and click the Search Here button to show display available properties.

Easy-to-View Property Details

Our main focus in development is usability and in this case one of the important goals was to allow users to execute as many of their tasks without having to leave the map. For example, our old mapping technology would take you off the map to view property detail pages, but with this new mapping release, we introduced a details view that shows the majority of important fields and all listing images right on the map. Less back and forth means less wasted time and a smoother workflow, resulting in happier customers.

Enhanced Points of Interest

Points of interest are provided by Google Local and can be searched for by category. Our next update will provide proximity searching, allowing users to choose a radius around any POI.

Favorited Properties

We decided on a new approach with favoriting properties. We allow you to add listings to your Favorites tab without the disruption of having to login to the account area. You’ll be prompted to save your properties before you leave the page in order to view at a later date. This gives users a taste of the functionality before having to commit to an account and will hopefully result in more account signups.

Recently Viewed Properties

Properties viewed during your session will be stored for easy reference.

Share Your Search

Each search, even complex polygons, have an associated URL. You can now share your search by sending the URL as a link via email, text message, social media and more. You can also save your search and receive alerts based on your criteria.

A Fresh Perspective

The new map includes the standard map and satellite views, but also allows the user to make use of Google's latest 45 degree angle when zoomed in (using satellite view). This gives the user the ability to spin the perspective around the home and get a lot more detail than the old bird's eye view. Street view has also been included as an additional view that places the user inside the map and creates a unique experience not often found on a real estate website.

We are so excited about this release and are proud of our members for paving the way for the latest innovations in the industry. Check back with us tomorrow for more information on how the launch went!
