Members may recall hearing a sneak peek about this feature during #ENCON2015. Jon Joseph of UseUX took the stage to discuss how big data is being implemented on our sites and the impact it will have on creating a better user experience. One such example he mentioned was Willis Allen Real Estate’s implementation of custom search results on their property details pages.

When it comes to buying a home, there are a lot of factors that influence a buyer’s decision. These could range from the number of beds and baths in a home — your standard search fields — or it could be much more specific like whether or not the home has a pool or parking spaces.
Our new dynamic search results gives Willis Allen Real Estate the ability to use the information that a user enters into their search criteria to customize their search results to show that information. In addition to the standard fields that are shown on search results, a user can now see the results from filters they chose in their search.
Taking that one step further, users can sort their search results by these features. So if the number of parking spaces is important to a user — and they selected that on their initial search — they can now sort their results, selecting to view homes with the highest number of parking spaces first.
All of this helps create a more personalized and efficient search experience for that user, increasing the chances they’ll want to return to Willis Allen Real Estate for their home buying needs.
